Who We Are
United Hunters Project is an NGO with a mission to preserve indigenous hunting heritage, create sustainable food systems and protect wildlife habitat for future generations. Founded by Max Fennell and Ray Livingston after they realized a need for indigenous folks to be educating, sharing the heritage of their indigenous ancestors and advising on traditional land conservation methods. Time spent in the wilderness helps us remember where we come from and deepen our connection with nature.
Max is a professional endurance athlete and the founder of Fenn Coffee. He has always been passionate about the outdoors and conservation. He enjoys hunting big and small game as well tracking with his dog. Max has always been actively involved with his community and UHP is another extension to help introduce others to the outdoors.
Ray was an English major and philosophy minor at U of O. After college, Ray spent time as a police officer in Eugene, Oregon, before moving into the transportation industry, where he continues to work today.
